What is Globus ID?

Globus ID is an identity provider operated by Globus. If you don't want to use your existing organizational login (e.g. university, national lab, facility, project, Google) with Globus, you can create an account on Globus ID and use that to log into Globus.

I don't recall creating a Globus ID – who created my account?

If you had previously created an account on globus.org, those accounts are now Globus ID accounts with identity YourGlobusUsername@globusid.org. The password and profile is the same as it was on globus.org.

Can I use my identity as an e-mail address?

No, while Globus ID looks like an e-mail address – username@globusid.org — it is not a working e-mail address. This format provides a fully qualified identity name that is unique across identity providers.

Why should I use Globus ID?

How do I reset my Globus ID password?
